19th: Legacy Harley-Davidson "Honor Ride" - 1315 Althoff Avenue, Effingham, IL. 62401 - The Disabled American Vets mobile service office will be at the Harley Barn to help Vets with their benefits, Honor Ride in the afternoon (12pm).
19th: Windy City HOG Ladies of Harley Poker Run - Chicago Harley-Davidson (2929 Patriot Blvd, Glenview, IL.) - Registration @ 10am. Ride fee is $20 for the rider, $10 for the passenger. 20th: ChicagoLand Ride for Kids - Elgin Community College (1700 Spartan Dr., Elgin, IL. 60123) - Registration opens at 7am, and closes at 9:15am. The Police-Escorted ride through scenic countryside starts at 9:30am SHARP. Rain or Shine! 20th-23rd: Loop Around Lake Michigan Sponsored by the Krash Bar - 7112 s. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, IL. - The ride leaves @9am July 20th, and will go all the way around Lake Michigan. There is no cost to join, but riders are responsible for their own expenses. The ride will travel 266 miles on the 20th, and stop for the night in Manistee, Michigan. On the 21st, the ride will continue to Mackinaw City, Michigan. On the 22nd, the ride will stop for the night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The ride ends on the 23rd back in Bridgeview. 24th-27th: 2nd Annual Rogue Run - Crown Auto Body Shop, Lake Bluff, IL. - The ride will start at Crown Auto Body Shop in Lake Bluff @6pm on July 24th. The ride will cross Lake Michigan into Ohio where it will end at a rally. For more information go to www.roguerun.com
27th: American Legion Riders Yorkville Post 489 2nd Annual Poker Run - Yorkville American Legion (9054 E. Veterans Parkway, Yorkville, IL. 60560) - Start and End at the Yorkville Legion. Sign in @ 11am, First Bike out @ 11:30am, Last Bike out @ noon. Driver $15, Passenger $10. Rain or Shine all vehicles welcome! Great fun, great food, music, best poker hand, raffles, door prizes. A flag disposal ceremony will follow the run. (please bring your own tired, tattered flags for disposal)
27th: 5th Annual S.O.B Run - Shady Oaks Cerebral Palsy Camp (16300 S Parker, Homer Glen, IL.) - Ride Registration is from 9am to 11am. First bike out at 11am. 2nd: Ride For Life '08 - Pit Row (208 South Vine, Heyworth, IL) - Sponsored by Relay For Life American Cancer Society. Registration begins at 11am with last bike out by 1pm. The fee is $10 per person. There will be 50/50 drawings, an auction, and raffles at the end of the ride. All bikes are welcome. All proceeds will go to the Relay For Life Team. 2nd: 2nd Annual OIF/OEF Benefit Poker Run - Sesser, IL. VFW - Registration @ 10:30am, first bike out 11am, last bike out at 12pm. Stops at Herrin VFW, Black Diamond Harley-Davidson, Marion VFW, West FrankFort VFW, Pheasant Hollow Winery. Then Back to Sesser for music, food, drinks and prizes. This is a Charity Ride to benefit the VFW in support of OIF/OEF Veterans and their families, and is also a Pre-Deployment event for area Soldiers. $15 For Rider, $5 for passenger.
17th: State Chapter Meeting - Marseilles, IL. - Location TBD @12pm
17th: 2nd Anual MTN Poker Run - The American Legion/Pub Yahoo (570 s. Gary Avenue, Carol Stream, IL.) - Sponsored by F.O.M.T. Registration is from 9:30 to 11am, last bike out at 12pm. Ride fee is $20 for the rider $10 for the passenger. Ride fee includes dinner, live entertainment, and door prizes. Proceeds go to the Michael Thomas Neunteufel Scholorship Fund.
17th: William West Memorial Run - Elliot Cafe, Elliot IL. - Sponsored by Ford County Chapter Inc. ABATE of Illinois. Registration is from 8am to 10am, ride leaves at 11am. Ride fee is $10 per person, $5 per hand, and $8 gate fee. For more information call (217)778-8652.
24th: 2nd Annual Motorcycle Poker Run - Zylstra Harley-Davidson (137 S. Randall Road, St. Charles, IL.) - Sponsored by Illinois Law Enforcement. Registration begins at 10am, first bike out at 11:30am. Ride fee is $15 single rider, or $25 with a passenger. 24th: Little City Ride for Smiles - Little City Campus (1760 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL.) - Sponsored by Little City Foundation. Ride begins at 9am. The 100 mile ride will go through Northen Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, ending with a celebration party in Barrington, Illinois. Ride fee is $20 for the rider and $10 for a passenger if pr-registered by August 11th. Those who Pre-register will also receive a t-shirt. 4th-7th: ChiggerFest - Moore's Mill (Rt. 136 W. of Mclean) -Sponsored by Heart Of Illinois ABATE Chapter Inc. Gates open at 3pm on the 4th. The event will include Bike games, bike show, vendors, music, camping and more. Bike games will include slow race, weenie bite, keg roll and more.
